Part III - Role-Playing
1] Every role-play post but be 200 words or more. If I find any that may seem under, I will give you a warning. It's not that hard, as this is a literate site.[/blockquote]
2] Be descriptive please! Describe your surroundings, the smells, the feels around you. Don't make it short and choppy. Make the post flow.
Example
Crunchy, topaz leaves rustled along the mossy green floor. Moist vegetation brushed up against his pelt, leaving tiny drops of dew on his silky cream-white fur. A sharp breeze rolled in through the high hills past the valley, ruffling the fur of the tomcat. The sky overhead was a murky gray, dark and billowing rainclouds foretelling the coming of rain. Bursts of thunder crackled in the darkening sky, making the tomcat travel faster within the undergrowth towards shelter.
3] Never, ever, use chat speak in role-play. We don't use those here on this site, ever.
Example
Kestrelwing padded towards the fresh-kill pile, his belly rumbling like thunder on a cloudy day. As he approached, he spotted his nursuryhood friend, Tigerfoot.
"Hey whatcha up 2? R u going hunting soon?"
4] Cats don't know human speak! Use words like mouse-brain and fox-dung instead of things like idiot or crap.
5] No powerplaying or Godmoding. This means you cannot play another character that is not yours or make your character invincible or never leave a battle with a stratch.
Example
Birchclaw raced through the undergrowth until he came onto the grassy moor. Cats were fighting everywhere, blood spraying over the yellow-brown grass, turning it a deep maroon color. Suddenly, a cat snuck behind him and pounced, but Birchclaw escaped and managed to claw his opponent. The tomcat reached for his enemy and yowled, raking his hind claws along its side. The cat hissed and fled, leaving Birchclaw smiling in victory.
6] Try to keep up with the weather in a post. If somone first states that it is warm outside, don't post that it is raining. Please, people.
7] Try not to post OOC too much while in role-play. If you have to, use brackets to show what you are saying in OOC. This makes things neater.
8] Remember, you cannot post in role-play unless you have an accepted biography.
