001.---> Cloudfoot sports a tabby coat with grey and white fur and stripes. White completely cloaks his front right paw (hence his warrior name), underbelly, and muzzle, as if only they were caught in a snowstorm while the rest of his body were shielded from the white blanket of coldness, save a few jagged strips of fur among grey ones. Unusually electric-looking blue eyes stand out against his striped grey fur, and a pink nose shines in the middle of his face. These features, along with his white markings, are illuminated by the monotony of his grey fur.
002.---> Cloudfoot's fur is short and well-kept; though he does not pride himself on his appearance, he does like to keep a relatively decent-looking pelt, and the fact that it is short and therefore not easily tangled quite definitely helps. Long fur would annoy Cloudfoot to no end, as he likes his cleaning job to be quick and easy. His fur is fairly smooth, though some hairs are a bit rough, keeping his pelt's texture quite simple despite his many different markings which contrast each other quite a lot.
003.---> Cloudfoot is a sleek cat, much like most of his Clan. However, he is on the scrawny end of the scale, and his build is light for a RiverClan cat, despite his menacing claws and strong legs, which might lead you to think that Cloudfoot's build was stocky and muscular. Even though his build is light and scrawny for a cat of his heritage, his claws are weapons that will probably make a very fierce impression on other cats.
004.---> Cloudfoot's strong legs make him a good jumper and runner, though he can't outrun the average WindClan cat, and, like his Clan, he is built more for swimming and fishing than running and jumping. As for his menacing claws, their dangerous look comes from their sharpness and length; a scratch from them would probably be very painful, more so than one from the average claws. Unfortunately for other cats, Cloudfoot scratches things more often than the average cat does, including fellow warriors. Fortunately for other cats (and unfortunately for fish), however, Cloudfoot is more interested in killing fish than scratching cats.
005.---> Last but not least, let's look at Cloudfoot's eyes in more depth. As mentioned above, they are a startlingly electric blue colour. The blue colour isn't just electric blue; it's ice-blue, giving them a slightly eerie look. They aren't naturally narrow or wide, but often Cloudfoot positions them that way. They often shine, sometimes with warmth and happiness, other times with hate and fury. They are what signal what is happening in his head, as he doesn't commonly do much with his body, words, and actions to betray his emotions, though unsheathing his claws is up there with glaring.

006.---> Cloudfoot is a complex character, despite his more simple appearance. His personality shifts quite a lot, making him unpredictable and therefore rather bad to have as an enemy. At best, Cloudfoot is a devoted warrior. At worst, he is an uncaring tyrant. Right in the middle? A strict comrade. Overall? A devoted, uncaring, strict cat.
007.---> What's good is that Cloudfoot hunts for his Clan often, offers to go on patrol when he isn't required to, and trains his apprentices thoroughly and ferociously, making them powerful warriors despite their hard apprenticeships. What's bad is that Cloudfoot jeers at cats who annoy him, punishes cats who make the slightest move to put the wrong paw out, and objects to anything that will contradict how he and other cats usually live, no matter what the consequences of not listening are. What's clear is that Cloudfoot punishes rule-breakers, listens to ideas that will not harm anyone he doesn't want to harm, lashes out at cats not of RiverClan, and tries to help his Clanmates.
008.---> Cloudfoot, despite his light name, is actually quite the warrior. Harsh, fierce, stern, and alert, little escapes his notice; and when he notices something bad, he'll do something about it (or at least he'll try). He hates rule-breakers, irritable old cats, talkative young cats, and cats outside of RiverClan. This hate shapes his actions and words toward these cats, usually resulting in harsh maneuvers. Sometimes his actions are quite prejudiced and rash because of his harsh attitude, and at times he surprises himself by seeming like a nasty, wild tyrant instead of a strict, serious warrior.
009.---> Despite his tough side, Cloudfoot can be quiet and thoughtful at times. When he is pleased or reminded of something that he thinks deserves to be pondered (this isn't common because of his usual anger and fierceness), he goes into one of these philosophical moods. These moods do not last for long, so you should take advantage of them while they do last. In these moods, Cloudfoot says little and thinks heavily, occasionally spurting out his thoughts, which are usually rather wise-sounding.
010.---> Cloudfoot has one more side: his intelligent side. While he is competent when in his harsh mood or quiet mood, he is the most competent in his intelligent mood. In this mood, he isn't the sharpest claw on the paw or thorn in the bush, but he is a considerably sharp claw or thorn. This side surfaces just about as often as his harsh side does, perhaps to make up for his vengeful ferocity. When he is feeling particularly intelligent, he is usually better at strategizing than punishing, and, while not very ponderous, he is quite thoughtful and ready. This makes him a good cat to go to when you want advice because he'll give you a well-thought-out, helpful answer instead of a cuff on the ear or a philosophical lecture.
011.---> Cloudfoot isn't the most social cat in the world, but he hangs around other cats enough to not be considered an outcast. To fellow cats, Cloudfoot betrays little feelings and usually tries to keep a straight face. However, every cat breaks down at some time in their life, Cloudfoot included, and there are few cats who never lose their temper or react--positively or negatively--to a funny joke. Cloudfoot will most likely react negatively, as he has no time to spare for pranks, jokes, or anything else of the sort. If Cloudfoot makes a joke, it is likely to be at others' expense, as joking and sarcasm are two of his favourite ways to treat cats with whom he is angry.
012.---> Cloudfoot, despite following the warrior code strictly, cheats and lies and sneaks whenever he can. He doesn't keep other cats' secrets unless he feels they must be kept. He usually keeps his promises, but he doesn't promise very often, so he doesn't usually do what you want him to do. He is what you might call a weasel in cat's fur. However, he only cheats and lies and sneaks when it isn't outside the warrior code. He will try to get around the warrior code at times in order to execute sneaky plan (a) or (b) or whatever plan it is, but he refuses to directly disobey the code.
013.---> Cloudfoot loathes ThunderClan cats, ShadowClan cats, WindClan cats, rogues, loners, and kittypets, making him very defensive of his Clan. He is usually peaceful at Gatherings, but that doesn't mean he is absolutely serene then. He fears dogs who are not bound by Twolegs or rules; out of that group, he fears foxes the most, due to his mentor's death and apprentice's scratch because of one. Cloudfoot likes very little: obedient RiverClan cats, sensible RiverClan cats, and loyal RiverClan cats.
014.---> Altogether, Cloudfoot is a very medium shade of grey (as in personality shades of grey, not appearance); you don't want to meet him in a dark alley, but he'll stick up for you if you are what he thinks he should stick up for.

015.---> Cloudfoot entered the world of RiverClan as Cloudkit on a breezy morning, along with his sister Duskkit. Their mother, Ashstripe, was a joking, cheerful she-cat, but she died after giving birth, making her death quite unlike her life. However, their father, short-tempered Bluestorm, was still alive and kicking (and grumpier than ever due to Ashstripe's death). Quick-thinking and ready, Bluestorm only stared at his mate's bloody corpse in anguish for about half a minute before he named the kits Cloudkit and Duskkit and asked a queen named Flameclaw (who was the mother of recently apprenticed kits) to foster Duskkit and Cloudkit. She accepted, unwilling to see kits with no mother.
016.---> Cloudkit was a cantankerous kit, perhaps because of his sister's constant talking and bouncing, which endlessly annoyed Flameclaw and Bluestorm. Duskkit resembled Ashstripe in personality, as Cloudkit resembled Bluestorm, though both of them were more extreme than their parents, and they disliked each other more. Cloudkit didn't like his sister because she was "excessively, constantly happy and energetic". Duskkit didn't like her brother because he was "atrociously, cruelly obnoxious and unfair". Surprisingly, Cloudkit and Duskkit did not beg to become apprentices until their fifth moon, which was rather nice for the other cats in the Clan.
017.---> RiverClan's leader at the time made Cloudkit and Duskkit apprentices as soon as they turned six moons, for the leader feared even more annoyance radiating from Flameclaw and Bluestorm at the kits' quarreling. Cloudpaw's mentor was Elmwillow, a pleasant warrior at best and an impatient warrior at worst. Elmwillow did not find joy in teaching an irritable apprentice, though he was thankful that he had not been given Duskpaw, who was a terrible burden to her mentor. Elmwillow, despite his apprentice's crankiness and obstinacy, was determined to be proud of Cloudpaw. So he decided to work his apprentice hard until he knew a lot.
018.---> Elmwillow taught everything--hunting, swimming, fishing, fighting, strategizing, running, following the warrior code, mentoring--but Cloudpaw did not excel in all subjects, much to his mentor's disappointment. Cloudpaw was good at fishing, strategizing, mentoring, and following the warrior code, but he was rather unsatisfactory at hunting, swimming, fighting, and running. This haunted his mentor, so he taught Cloudpaw more thoroughly until he was at least satisfactory in all skills, sealing Elmwillow's pact with himself to be proud of Cloudpaw. Elmwillow reported his apprentice's progress to the leader, as did Duskpaw's mentor about her. The leader decided to make them warriors as soon as possible and not later.
019.---> Cloudpaw and Duskpaw became Cloudfoot (in honour of his white paw) and Duskwater (in honour of her love of fishing, swimming, and water) at twelve moons. Cloudfoot was a devoted, strict cat whose voice often changed from calm to icy without warning. Duskwater was much more cheerful and carefree than her brother was, and her voice was either as happy as a morning bird song or as warm as new fresh-kill. Soon the leader noticed how hard Cloudfoot worked, even when Flameclaw had died of sickness and Bluestorm was killed in a border scuffle and the harsh cat seemed sad for several days. The RiverClan leader decided to show their gratitude to the tabby warrior.
020.---> Cloudfoot was rewarded for his service with an apprentice. Hollowpaw was a stubborn she-cat, unwilling to accept anything that contradicted her opinion. She was endlessly frustrating to Cloudfoot, and mentor and apprentice were obviously not good matches. But Cloudfoot got through to Hollowpaw in the end, and drilled information into her head, no matter how hard it was. Cloudfoot disliked her even more when Hollowpaw caused Elmwillow's death, as he leaped in front of a fox to save her from being killed and eaten but she didn't lift a claw to help. Yet Cloudfoot kept training Hollowpaw thoroughly, only stopping to mourn for his mentor for short intervals throughout a couple days right after Elmwillow's death.
021.---> Hollowpaw became Hollowear in honour of a rip in her ear she received in the fight that marked Elmwillow's death. Later she, along with Duskwater, died of disease, perhaps the same one that had cost Flameclaw her life, perhaps not. After the saddening deaths of his sister and former apprentice, life treated Cloudfoot well.
022.---> When RiverClan's deputy died, the leader chose to name Cloudfoot deputy in order to keep ShatterClan cats careful and non-RiverClan cats watchful. The new deputy has served RiverClan relatively well, though many cats consider him to be too harsh. However, this harshness is to be expected from a cat like Cloudfoot, and should be no surprise. That is how he stands today: Cloudfoot, the prickly, intelligent deputy of RiverClan.
&. cloudfoot!--->] Sharp claws unsheathed. Electric blue eyes flashed. Tabby fur bristled. Cloudfoot took a step toward a young black she-cat he had just spotted. "You!" he hissed. "Duskwater says you ate two pieces of prey on your hunting patrol. I won't ask you if she's telling the truth, because I know she is. My sister might be annoying, but she doesn't lie."Codeword: -Fallen glomps codeword-
Baring his fangs, he snarled, "Hollowpaw, you are a miserable excuse for an apprentice. The warrior code should be followed, not ignored. I don't know why you broke it, Hollowpaw, but you should know. And it had better be a pretty good reason if I'm going to let you off with just a stern lecture and cuff on the ear."
How could any cat do such a thing? He had taught the warrior code countless times to Hollowpaw, yet she never obeyed it! He let his thoughts boil inside his mind as he glared at his apprentice, next words ready. "Those two pieces of prey you ate could've fed our queens and kits! Why, Hollowpaw? Do you want RiverClan to starve?"
Cloudfoot knew he was being harsh, but he couldn't stop now. "You are abominably mean to your fellow cats, Hollowpaw. You are"-- he paused as he thought of his sister's words so long ago --"atrociously, cruelly obnoxious and unfair, as well as selfish and idiotic. Fortunately, I know how to deal with mild traitors like you. No training or food until you learn how to behave yourself properly, and shame on you!"
Unsheathed claws drew in as Cloudfoot sneered at Hollowpaw. "Fair is fair, Hollowpaw. Break the warrior code, get punished. Act stupidly, suffer endlessly. That is how cats live here. If you don't like it, too bad for you, because I'm your mentor and I'm responsible for enforcing it."
Smugly the warrior started to pad off, a smirk pasted on his grey-furred face. "You're just lucky I'm feeling generous today, Hollowpaw," he muttered to her as a final statement. "You see these claws?" Wickedly sharp claws were sheathed and unsheathed on Cloudfoot's white paw, which he held up. "They would've scratched you if you had eaten more prey and I had been in a worse mood."
Growling softly with pleasure at the large probability of an unhappy reaction from Hollowpaw upon hearing his harsh words (well, she deserved it, didn't she?), Cloudfoot walked away, tail swishing high in the air, a smirk still stuck on his face.
